For vehicles still under warranty, you may find that habitation checks are required to keep the warranty valid, so it’s even more important to adhere to the recommendations if this is the case.

Your vehicle needs a Class 7 MOT if its maximum allowable mass (MAM) is between 3,000kg and 3,500kg. This applies to larger vehicles, typically those over about 7 metres in length or those with substantial equipment and furnishings that push them over the 3,000kg threshold. To determine if your vehicle needs Class 7 testing, check the vehicle identification plate, which shows the MAM. If it states 3,001kg or higher (up to 3,500kg), you'll need Class 7 testing.
